So I'm trying to figure out a way to store my photos while I'm away traveling. It's more practical for me to buy an extra drive rather than a bunch of SD cards, due to expense. (both of my cameras use SD)
Something I need to consider is that I'll be gone for two years, and probably won't have much access to electricity during that time. I have a solar panel which can charge my camera batteries by way of 12v DC adapters. In any case....
I'm considering the Jobo Giga One 80gb hard drive:

Does anyone have experience with this particular drive? How well does it work for you? How is the battery life?
Any other suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Re: portable photo storage
Thu, January 25, 2007 - 2:12 PMI have a FlashTrax by Smartdisk. Though my model is discontinued, beware these devices use a lot of battery power. i suggest buying an extra battery.
